Just a note to all of you gardeners and eco-conscious greenies:
Saturday,May 31 we're having a wildflower seed give-away. 2,000 packets each containing seeds for plants that bees favor when foraging have been donated by Haagen Dazs and will be given out on a first come/first served basis. Bees are disappearing worldwide. Honey Bees are responsible for pollinating 30% of our food crops. You can plainly see the problem and the need for planting a few wildflowers. Please pass the word. Artisan Market: www.artisan-market.org will of course be delighted if you also browse and shop after picking up your seeds. Artisan Market is located on the DeKalb Avenue sidewalk perimeter of Fort Greene Park- Saturdays 9-5.
