Animal rescue group at 5th Avenue street fair?
Hello all,
Can anyone remember the animal shelter or group that had a station at the 5th Ave Street Fair in Park Slope the weekend before last? They had a beautiful bunch of dogs and cats, and were stationed near the custom cars and a stall full of Obama T-shirts. I *think* it was between Garfield and 1st.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jessica

I am just being silly, but my mind goes right to "Obama loves pussy". I swear there is a 12 year old boy trapped inside my body :-)
Are you thinking of adopting? -
Hi Flexichick -- Yes, I posted because I'd like to find out about a cat I met during the fair. She was a lovely, friendly calico-ish girl with the most amazing orange markings. I remember she was on medication for a cold (so her eyes and nose were a bit gooey) and she had a shaky hind leg. She was staying in the home of one of the rescue workers. I couldn't adopt her at the time, because I was about to go out of town, but I'm eager to know if she's still looking for a good home... J

awww.....even better that you want her when some people might pass her over because of her leg and eyes.
I hope you find the group and post after you come home with your new kitty. -
Subject: BAFN?
It may have been the Brooklyn Animal Foster Network, but I am not positive.

It was definately the Brooklyn Animal Foster Network. They were in some sort of bank parking lot and were the only ones there with animals in need of homes.
They have lots of great animals in need of loving homes. Best of luck to you in your search. Please keep us posted. -

We got a cat there during the 5th ave fair (Commerce Bank parking lot), and the card given to us was from In Our Hands Rescue/Jennifer Mamakas, President.

By the way, this is who we adopted...Mona (rescuer had named her Manny, but she didn't know her name yet...so we changed it):

(edited because I'm a moron) -
