Cuarto? New restaurant on 4th Avenue around 27th Street?

I passed by (in a car) what looks like a new restaurant--maybe Peruvian?--on 4th Avenue between 27th and 28th Streets or thereabouts. I think the name was Cuarto. Anybody been? Know anything about it?

  • very friendly owner, they have delicious and fresh broiled chicken, tasty rice and this AMAZING green Peruvian sauce that comes in a little side cup. You should try some take out!
  • Subject: Cuarto = Delicious

I went there for the lunch special the other day. For $7, you get a bowl of soup, can of soda, choice of salad/fries or rice/beans, plus an entree. I had the spicy chicken (can't remember the name).

The soup was very good, a bit heavy on the cilantro (?), but the chicken was amazing.

The rice/beans didn't have much flavor.

I had the spicy chicken which was very good, especially with a dab of the green sauce. My girlfriend had the standard 1/4 chicken which she really enjoyed with the red sauce, which has a bit of a kick.

Prices seemed reasonable for dinner as well.
  • It's La Cuarta. Ordered dinner from there last night to share with my husband and friend - got a whole rotisserie chicken, hotdogs & french fries, huge avocado salad with fresh greens and dill and amazing dressing, side of cheesy potatoes and another side of fried calamari. We could only eat about 1/3 of all the food - and the total was $34.

    The sauces are amazing!!

Only downside is no credit cards :(
  • I've ordered lunch from there a few times and have not been dissapointed.
