NEW PERUVIAN RESTAURANT - LA CUARTA — Brooklynian

NEW PERUVIAN RESTAURANT - LA CUARTA

The other day as I was walking to Costco, I came across a new Peruvian restaurant called La Cuarta on 4th Avenue, between 26th and 27th streets;. 782 4th Avenue to be exact.

It used to be a small mexican place, not sure when they closed and obviously, this took over...

My partner and I went the following day and had a real good dish called Jalea (fried mix seafood combination) $16. I've had this before at other Peruvian restaurants and it was just as good. It's actually shrimp, squid, fish, mussles and a couple of yuca fries thrown in, topped with onions and tomatoes with lime juice. Very, Very good... As we were kinda of hungover, we also order some side dishes: white rice, beans and tostones. The beans were kind of blend and to my surprise, a cheap imitation to refried beans, but...

Definatley worth checking out, go and support your local restaurants.

PS - New spanish restaurant coming soon, 4th avenue between 23rd and 24th streets.

Will keep you posted.
