The F train always has, does now ...

At least your train went to Brooklyn. I was at 2nd Ave stopped for an hour and people were scurrying between the V which was going uptown and the F because the V just sat there for another 30 minutes. And then the F went back uptown. Fucking Brilliant.

Oh, man. Before I moved here, we took the F to visit a friend's parents in Queens, and got stranded in pouring rain on Roosevelt Island. Which is an island! And has, like, one bus that goes back to Manhattan. And the tram wasn't working yet. Not that that would have helped, with a full rush-hour F train.

What *would* have helped is if that one bus off Roosevelt Island could have taken Metro cards, or those "sorry the trains ruined your day" paper transfers, or even regular old dollar bills (who has $2 in coins? Lucky for me, I did.) Might have been nice if it had taken less than an hour to get where it was going, too.

Which is why I live in the 2/3 Q/B part of town now. So very glad the F isn't my only way home.
