Sepia--Tonight

Hello Neighbors...I received this note from Delissa today...she's the owner of Sepia.

A note to our friends and family...
Firstly, thank you for your concern regarding Candace Jones. Everything is fine and it’s nothing that a little chicken soup and rest won’t fix...

Prior to going to New Orleans to volunteer, I applied for a women in business grant from Elieen Fisher the clothing designer. With the help of dear friends, Robin Keegan, Laila Curtner and Charity Thomas, I managed to complete and submit the application. A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a company representative informing me that bar sepia is a finalist! The Elieen Fisher folks are coming by the bar tonight around 7ish. If you’re in the area, feel free to pass by, share a cocktail, and show these folks that it takes a neighborhood to raise the bar in b’klyn. bar sepia wouldn’t be here without all of you and both Elia and I are forever grateful.
Peace,Blessings and Many Thanks!
Delissa and Elia

  • that's cool--hope it went well. my roommate just went to sepia the other night and gave it rave reviews (by which I mean drunken hopping)
  • Went last night and apparently the word did get out, cause the bar was quite full, which is unfortuantely unusual for them on chilly, blustery Tuesday nights.

By 8pm or so D. was in the back chatting with women who must've been the Eileen Fisher crew: one of them I recognized from some of their print ads (short, looked 40ish, Asian, attractive, well-dressed).

Sepia is approaching its 2nd anniversary, and its a fantastic bar. Its my second living room. Go stop in and have a drink.
  • Word from D was that it went really well. She'll find out in mid-January.
