$1050 - Room in 2BR w/garden in PRIME South Slope

Room available either July 1st or July 15th in spacious 2 bedroom apt with private garden on the south slope. Rent is $1050 a month. Minimum stay of 6 months, with intent to stay longer if the situation works out well. 1 month's rent and 1 month security due upon move in, or to secure the place. Utilities/internet are another $75-100 a month - less in the winter and more in the dead heat of the summer.

ABOUT THE APT/ROOM
The apt is located right off 7th avenue on a prime block in on the south slope—the new gourmet Union Market is smack-dab right on the corner, and 2 laundromats are within a block away. Bars, restaurants and boutiques galore, and only steps to Prospect Park. The F train is 4 short blocks away; the R train 2 more avenues down. Its pretty much all you can ask for in a nyc neighborhood.

The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment, with your room in back. There's a large closet and the room can fit a full size bed, a desk and/or small dresser. The door to the garden is located inside the bedroom, so I'd need to live with someone who doesnt mind me walking through their room to get to the garden from time to time (although we'd work out a system where if you didnt want to be disturbed we'd let each other know.) Theres also a nice kitchen setup with a dishwasher, plus a part-time offsite superintendent. Big bonus if you can teach me how to cook/BBQ!

ABOUT ME/YOU
I'm a graphic design consultant and work a normal 9-5 schedule. I get along better with males roommatewise, so I'm only looking for a guy roommate (sorry, gals!) My ideal roomie would be a social/friendly person who wants to create a warm friendly living environment, but of course has their own life and will know when to give each other space. I have 2 cats—one of which is very friendly and usually runs to the door to say hi when you come home; the other stays in my room all day. If you're a cat person, all the better, though i'm just looking for someone who isnt allergic or wont freak out if my cat comes by to say hello.

No smokers/drunks/druggies/hard partiers/live-in guests please. I'm in my late twenties and am not looking for any drama in my home life. I'll be having an open house this weekend (I wont be moving in until the 15th so its currently unoccupied.)

If this is of interest to you, shoot me an info with a little info about yourself. If you have a myspace or facebook page, feel free to pass it along. Look forward to hearing from you!
