Man, that wind came barreling towards me down the street and hit me with a face full of dust. My eyes are still all gritty.
If it breaks the humidity it's worth it.
PS... all the trash cans tipped over, damn! haha! -

Well just came back from Johnny macks for dinner and we came out of the place with some wind and a little rain but no torrential downpours yet.. still possible though.
By the way.. I had meatloaf and substituted the the potatoes for lovely string beans and carrots. Partner had a hamburger. 3 glasses of wine between us.. Bill $47.. plus tip.. Still a nice place to eat and hang out.. especially on the early side (started at 6pm) during the week. -

Ooo I've never heard of this place and it's pretty close. Do they have a bar as well? When I eat out alone I like to sit at the bar to read...

yes Carmen.. very nice bar and you would feel just comfortable eating alone... 8th ave and 12th street.. been there a while.. In my opinion worth checking out.

Johnny Macks has been there forever (well, at least the 11 years I have been here). I think it's just "eh". I'd much rather go to 12th St B&G across the street.
Back to the non-storm. That was quick! I thought it was going to be ug-ly -

I was walking out of the Grand Army Plaza stop and noticed that it was looking kinda weird out. As soon as I turned the corner the wind hit us. Leaves flying around......I had my husbands niece with me and so I had to turn right back around and get back on the train. I promised her that I'll take her to Mt. Prospect Park after I ran my errand but of course I couldn't so she started going nuts when she we were heading towards our building. I should have went out earlier. #-o

Flexi.. wouldn't you agree that 12th st B&G is a little "finer"?
