Hair Blow-Out

I've got a fancy schmancy event coming up so was thinking of getting a blow-out for the occasion.

Can anyone give me a recommendation where to go, and kinda what it will cost? I've got wavy shoulder length hair, so not very long really.

Ideally a place in Midtown Manhattan as that'd be close to work, but all recommendations will be gratefully received!

I passed a place on W. 14th St the other day that seemed to be solely for blow-drying and styling. I thought it was weird until I remembered I'm in the land of specialty shops No personal experience there but there are several favorable reviews on google.

I ended up doing something different with my hair so no blow out for me.

Am curious about OpossumQueen's recommendation though... if anyone has been let us know what it's like.

i went to Blow a few weeks ago before an event. i got a great blow-out for the usual price of $40. my stylist asked a few questions about whether i wanted more shine or more volume, etc. my only thing was that he was way too, too TMI about some stuff i really didn't want to know about him.

it gets crazy on friday and saturday nights!
