Performer Bios

Susie Felber (http://felberfrolics.blogspot.com) is a writer and comedian who has written and/or produced for Comedy Central, Lifetime, ABC Development, and MTV Specials. She's written for Cosmopolitan, Women Who Rock magazine, co-authored a CD-ROM game for Simon & Schuster and has been a contributor to US Weekly's "Fashion Police" since dinosaurs ruled the land. She's appeared on MTV2, Oxygen and multiple times on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" as a whore. By day, she's Copy Jockey at Court TV. By night, she dons a bit more powder and performs her socks off.

Dan Fishback's first play Please Let Me Love You debuts soon in NYC. Past one-man shows include Assholes Speak Louder Than Words, Boi with an I, and Baggage Claim. Dan's band, Cheese On Bread, toured North America in the summer of 2005, supporting their first album, Maybe Maybe Maybe Baby (Luv-a Lot Records). Dan's solo release, Sweet Chastity, sounds really good. His essay, "Times Are Changing, Reb Tevye" was featured in Mentsh: On Being Jewish and Queer, an Alyson Books anthology. His blog is http://livejournal.com/users/danfishback.

Martha Garvey's work has appeared in the New York Times, Salon (under the name Nell Carberry), CleanSheets.com, and in several editions of Best American Erotica. Most recently, she published two books on keeping your pets healthy and slim: My Fat Dog and My Fat Cat (Hatherleigh Press, 2005), each of which has a blog: http://www.myfatdogbook.com, and http://www.myfatcatbook.com. Do visit!

Joshua M. Bernstein is a NYC-based freelance writer. He'd like you to think he spends his days crafting dazzling exposes, but he's usually puttering around home in boxer briefs, checking email every two minutes and eating his roommate's cold pizza. He publishes a zine, Rated Rookie, gets drunk for the New York Press, eats himself into a coma for Time Out New York, receives rejection letters from the New York Times, and pens the occasional puff piece about dolls. Yes, dolls. Check him out at http://socalledstrife.blogspot.com.

After placing third in the 16-to-21 age group in the Baltimore Turkey Trot 5K in 2002, Annie Karni was named an official Turkey of Towson County. Now she writes for 11211 Magazine, The Villager, and NotforTourists.com. You can read her blog at http://karnivale.blogspot.com.

Matthew Loren Cohen is a classically trained pianist. His blog, Nervous Breakdown (http://nervyb.blogspot.com), was clearly not meant to continue past day three.

Richard Jeffrey Rothstein is a direct descendant of Aaron, brother of Moses, a native of Manhattan, a highly respected practitioner of the black art of public relations (The Income Source) and a man who believes that dogs are far better than naked men at picking up table scraps. Oh, and he's an award-winning homosexual blogger (http://rjr10036.typepad.com) who owes his fame and diminishing reputation to Greg, Corey, Oliver, Aaron, and Chris.

About WYSIWYG:

"Urban Storytelling for the Internet Age" -- The WYSIWYG Talent Show is a monthly series of readings and performances by bloggers living in or visiting NYC. The first WYSIWYG event was the messy, spectacular and wildly successful "Worst. Sex. Ever.: An Anti-Valentine's Day Reading" in February of 2004. It has been followed monthly with variously themed evenings and is now in its third season. Each installment is an evening of funny and touching stories, songs and performances from some of the best writers and most interesting personalities on the Web. More information can be found at http://wysiwygtalentshow.org.

Performance Space 122 is located at 150 First Avenue at 9th St. (accessible from the #6 at Astor Place or the L at First Avenue). "Sumthin' Jewy This Way Comes" will be held on December 13, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling 212-352-3101 or visiting http://www.ps122.org.
