Physicians for a National Health Program event at Soda!

I'm a PH-er and a medical student at SUNY-Downstate in Flatbush. I'm also a co-president of a club there called Physicians for a National Health Program. We're having a casual informational event at Soda tomorrow night and I wanted to make it open to the community. We exist to make people aware of the national health insurance program that is currently in Congress and would provide high-quality health insurance for EVERYONE. Though the current presidential administration is pushing towards using Health Savings Accounts, which are a tax-free way to use your own money to pay for health care costs, most studies find that people with these programs avoid getting preventative care. We believe there's a better way!

Anyway, here's the information for Monday night. We'd love it if anyone from the commuity, certainly not just physicians or people in the health care industry, came out to join us!

Thanks,
Susan
