According to gothamist.com there was a bank robbery toady at 12:14 pm at 459 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, but they're calling it Astoria Federal. Is this the location you're asking about?

That's probably it. There was a police helicopter flying over what seemed to be 5th and 9th right around that time.

Yikes! Anyhow, there was a cop stationed inside around 6pm. Shades drawn, didn't look like anyone was going in or out. Couldn't tell if the ATM vestibule was open.

funny, I heard it was Commerce on Fifth Ave as well . . . which would not be the first time
That open plan thing is not working so well. Or maybe it is - don't they usually get a relatively small $$ amount and run?

On the Gothamist map, there was a "pursuit" around 4th Avenue and 12th also around noonish. Gosh, I miss so much when I'm at work.
