I got a quote from a painter for paint the polish the floors of my 2bed/2ba apt (approx. 1100 sq ft) for $2,500.

Considering it's not a complicated job (little repair work, not too many details) what would be a reasonable amount to pay?

No matter what response you get from posters here it won't give you a full picture on a reasonable cost. get at least another two people to come in and give you an estimate on your specific job.
