Knit at Maha's: The Men's Forum?
Subject: Knit at Maha's: The Men's Forum?
Hey crafty people,Well, judging from attendance and the walk-ins from last week, I think "Knit at Maha's" is sorta shaping up as a guy's knitting circle, though not exclusively. I promised apollonia the Rowan Biggy Print, so hands off. Bring some yarn to trade if you got it. I have some off-white fun fur. I don't know what I was thinking.
New topics to consider for this posting:
1) Acrylic: What do you do with it?
2) NY Times reports sweater sales are slumping, is this the end of yarn kind?
3) Is Alpaca the new Llama?
4) Felting, Shmelting: Who's done it already?

Wait, so are we going to be at Maha's or at the Festivus thing?

Botanic, Appolonia!! Others!!
HABU, that freaky, expensive Japanese fiber store is having a sale until Jan 15, 06! That's right "silk + stainless" steel yarns that are usually $80.00/oz. are now just $68.00/oz!! Kids come a runnin'!
But seriously folks, the fine alapaca is a great deal at $3.33/oz. Same with the Donegal tweed at 2.73/oz. chekc out the link below.
