There have been people working inside of it lately, it looks like all the machines are gone so I assume it's not going to be a laundry-mat anymore. Anyone know?

Asuming you're referring to the Sterling/Underhill mat... I think they're replacing all of their machines. I last overheard them about three weeks ago, when they said they'd open in a month... so maybe they're a tad behind schedule. Just a tad.

Yep, that one on the corner.
  • Right, that corner would actually be a nice spot for something. I wonder what they're up to...
  • I heard a rumor that someone you may know was musing about opening an eatery about a half block from there. Could be unfounded...
  • yeah it would be great if someone would do something with that building! i wonder if there are some sort of legal problems with the building because it has been like that for over a year....
  • When I was shopping for a rental in PH, the broker I was dealing with lamented over the fact that so many of the buildings in the area have many code and structural problems and coupled with the cost to purchase, they end up sitting there rotting. The closed up store at the corner of St John and Washington is another example.
  • Does anyone know what's going on with the old store at the corner of classon and lincoln? It closed maybe 6 months ago, and workers are in there doing some kind of gut renovation.
