Subject: Beehive Salon Hosts Kitten Day in W'Burg

I know most people here are probably more likely to need homes for kittens rather than looking to adopt, but if you're in the neighborhood and want to just play, stop by!

"Oh honey...

The Beehive Salon & Downtime Spa in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is hosting a kitten adoption day at their new location just a block from the Bedford Avenue stop on the L train. New North Brooklyn animal advocacy group, Empty Cages Collective will show off some of the cutest cats and prettiest kittens rescued from the mean streets. They're ready for new, happy homes and would love to meet you all. Come by between 2PM and 6PM on Sunday, June 29th and spend some time in the Beehive's relaxing back garden cuddling some kittens. The salon is located at: 115 North 7th Street, between Berry and Wythe. Phone: 718-782-8376

Note on attached photo: Our purple-coiffured model, Squirrel, is the only kitten in her family to survive. The litter of four was dumped, helpless, in front of the NYCACC kill shelter in Manhattan. Even though her eyes were still shut and her umbilical cord was still attached, it was obvious this tiny one was a survivor. Squirrel nursed from the bottle filled
with kitten formula right away and hollered when her next meal was
late. She's a tough cookie with a playful sweet personality and will
need a new home as soon as she's spayed.
