Guiness World Record snowball fight
I saw this in the daily news this morning, I figured I'd pass it along- some guy from Cobble Hill is trying to get 3000 people together for a snowball fight in Prospect Park for a new Guiness World Record. While you may note that this has snow riot written all over it, it will probably be pretty damn fun before that begins. To get on the guys email list, just email [email protected] and ask to be put on the list or whatever.

I guess really the reason I want to go is I couldn't bear knowing that something like this happened two blocks from where I live and I wasn't there. Kind of like how the day I called in sick to work in DC was the same day the beltway sniper shot some dude like a block away from the office. I always miss the exciting stuff.

I heard about this on NY1 and it stressed me out. like, what if someone hits someone else with a rock/chunk-o-ice snowball? it's all over. now you have a 3500 person brawl. meep.

See I kinda want to go just in case there is a 3500 person brawl, so I can run away like a little girl and hide in a tree or something so I can watch it.

yeah. what makes you want to see the brawl makes me want to stay far, far away. when the rubber bullets get busted out, I want to be under my bed. well, not really. it's dusty under there. I want to be on my sofa.

Oh my.
I have to be there... I can't not go.
I've got a good arm- I'll fling snowballs from the back just in case I have to beat a hasty retreat. -
Count me in!

Battle of Pelennor Fields, with snowballs. Oh hell yes.
I'm buidling a snow trebuchet as we speak... -
I guess I could bring mulled wine and a shield.

Groovy. Can I go as the Snow Ball Red Cross? I can carry a stretcher with wounded combatants to a tent where I will cauterize their wounds. I will wear a read cross on my jacket so all will know I am a non-combatant. And a starched white cap. Cupcake Clara Barton.

this sounds like a horrible romance novel just waiting to happen. it would be cooler if it were MASH themed. maybe. but still probably horrible.
