Lost my car keys

I'm a big dummy. I lost my car keys and don't have a spare set.

I think I lost them on 16th st btw 7th and 8th ave. There are 2 keys on a small ring. That's it.

If anyone finds them I would be eternally indebted.

But since odds are against me, what do I do next? Call a locksmith?

Argh!!!

  • Call a locksmith and make sure to bring you cars paper work to prove that you are the owner of the car. good luck
  • Dude, that totally sucks and is going to cost you more than $5. I feel bad for you. Make an extra set this time, Justin Case. But yah, locksmith. Unless you have a fancy car, in which case things start to get _really_ ugly...
  • Actually, you might want to try calling the maker of the car. They'll have the code info for the keys on file.

My -limited- experience has been that this is the fancy car route, which costs unavoidable $$$. + $$$$. Then $$$$$. But yah, they can hook you up with the VIN.
  • The car is a '95 Buick LaSabre, so I don't think "fancy" is the first word that comes to mind in describing the vehicle. More like "bulky."

    Justin Case... grrrrrr............
  • It certainly won't hurt to check with the dealer and the locksmith, and go whichever route is cheaper.

Or maybe someone will turn up your keys! Hope springs eternal!
