200 fifth

last few times i walked by 200 fifth the restaurant portion was closed (while the sports bar part remained open). i didn't see a sign announcing vacation . any word on what is going on w./ that spot?

I could have sworn i saw a sign on the front of that place a couple of weeks ago that said renovation. I would be shocked if Mark just closed the restaurant up!

Edited to add:

i just called them-they are under renovation and are expecting to open the restaurant again at the end of this week.

Apparently, the restaurant portion had a fire, hence the renovation.

i saw the renovation sign as well. the bar remained open, last time i checked.

then again, i've been on vacation for a week, and anything can change.....a friggin chess shop popped up on Flatbush in the past week!
