hey folks.

so...in the 2-3 hours a day i'm not posting on brooklynian, i am a writer. a book with two of my essays in it, called Submerged: Tales from the Basin, is coming out at the beginning of september. the book is an anthology of art and writing about hair and about new orleans; proceeds benefit katrina survivors. you can read all about it here. we're having several new york events for the launch, and i'd be pleased as punch to see you at them. the three i'm reading at are:
