VOTE and support a local nonprofit startup! — Brooklynian

VOTE and support a local nonprofit startup!

I'm starting a education nonprofit called the Critical Educator Network. I'm doing it with a bunch of Prospect Heighters but I'm based on Crown Heights, as is the organization. It's an organization to enhance critical thinking teaching in New York. We need some local support right now.

The Critical Educator Network is entered into a contest with a website called ideablob.com, an organization that gives money to non-profits. Once a month, the organizations that garners the most votes from people over the Internet wins $10,000 in startup funds. Voting starts Friday, August 22nd and ends Sunday, August 31st.

We also NEED more than just your vote! If ALL of you get 5 people you know to vote, then we will win this for sure. Please please please ask others.

If you are a new voter, please follow these steps:
1.)Go to www.ideablob.com/signup
2.)Click on the register button at the top of the page and follow the instructions.
3.)After you have registered activate your account by following the instructions given in the confirmation e-mail you will receive.
4.)Once you have activated your account you will be free to search for our idea
5.)Go to the main ideablob page (www.ideablob.com) and find us among the 8 finalists
7.)Click on the green VOTE button to vote for our idea.

  • Daver, I am not sure I understand your question. I tried the link to the website and it looks like an interesting group.

I don't run scripts from sites that I don't know. This can make certain features of some websites not work. *shrug* In the case of this website, NOTHING appears because the entire site is apparently written out via script.

Meaning, they could be the bestest group on the eastest coast, but I'm not going to find out about it because they've coded their site into a cutesy corner without allowing for basic browsing.

    I'm sure it's fabulous though.
