Paul and my fellow handymen on here...

The Contractor came by today ....again ....with a minwax stain ....he said he couldnt get a golden oak
to match my floors ...he said they dont make it anymore. So he said he is gonna brush an area ....to see if I like it first ....
then I looked at the rag ...and it had a reddish rust color on the rag....so I told him to stop.
Paul thank God you told me they had to sand first ...because ....
I said thats not the color ...he said let me give it another coat...so I said forget it ...its not red! I said forget it ....
and I said besides you have to sand first then apply ....and he said "No you dont" that was the old days......
    but he didnt realize ...
I saw the sand paper next to the can ...so he sanded first without me seeing it. I still said ...forget it!

Tonight, he just called me back ...and said he'll take off my design molding and put a new molding
with the natural stain....I said forget it ....I told him that molding is under my kitchen cabinets also...
and he said Ill remove all the molding and put a new one with a
natural stain .....I said forget it !!!!

thats my update on the banisters ....MEN!!

    LOL

It is a loss just like anyone in our family. It will take time to heal but it will happen. They say time heals all wounds. You never forget it just gets alittle easier.. Have a good night and a healing one. Love Terry

    Hi Patsy Honey,

I'm sorry. It was not my mother's birthday on January 11th, it was James' birthday. The 11th was the day my mother died 29 years ago. Thanks for your wishes, honey. I know she loved all ofyou too.

    Hugs,
    Twiggy

    JOEY,

"What A Wonderful World" indeed. Awesome post my friend. You're the best and are very popular on this blog.

I was too young for the World's Fair (haha), but I do have a memory (which I sited on the original blog). Here goes.........

My mother was making baked clams for my father one night and my mother inadvertantly threw away the shells. In comes my mother's dear friend CONNIE MIELE (THE BEST). Her solution to my Mom's problem: Make tin foil cups, stuff them and tell Tony, "THIS IS THE WAY THEY ARE SERVING THEM AT THE WORLD'S FAIR". I believe it worked. A classic in our family!

    HELLO ANTHONY UMBRIA.

Hope your dinner comes out good. I'm sure it will because you sound like an amazing cook.

Tonight I just grilled some steaks and steamed broccoli. Simple, Simple.

Can't wait to meet you at the reunion!

    Hi Patsy,

I'm doing good. Except the other day I tried a kickboxing class and knocked my hip replacement out (I think). I'm in so much frigging pain. Have an appointment tomorrow with my surgeon. That is an exciting day for me because he's GORGEOUS.

I also applied for a job at my grocery store (in the bakery) because I want to learn more baking techniques. I got the job, but the hours will not work with my kiddies' schedule. So my baking career is on hold. Otherwise all is good and just looking foward to my mini reunion at myhouse. Tony Perotta and Ro will be here too.

Hope all is well with you too, Patsy. Thanks for asking. LOVE YA HONEY!!!!!
