Here is my house today. Just went out and took a few pictures of the snow here.

This is my son's house from my back porch. Not sure if you can see it.

Janet, very nice house after all these years, I finally get to see it.
I see a white house down the hill, it is nice and close to you.

Yeah, my husband used to call that distance between the houses the umbilical cord, lol.

i love it. i like being close with the kids.

It used to be interesting to have a log house in the woods, but I am tired of it and here, lol. I need to be in the middle of civilization. Enough is enough.!!

No, I hired these jerks to stain the house, and when I came home, they had it primed WHITE !!!!! So then they had to paint it. I was pissed and now have to wait for the paint to weather off so it can be stained !!! By that time, I will have moved, lol.

Well, I do have a light pole because I couldn't even see a thing at night. My son's house has 2, one in front of the driveway and one at the back of the house. They charge $8 a month per light.

But, it is the best place for the dogs and cats. They have the run of the land. When I first bought the land, I felt like Scarlett O'Hara, lol

no, it looks really peaceful and quiet there ....but dont know if I could be in there alone.

We have foxes, coyotes, bear, possums, raccoons, bobcats and possibly a panther, etc.

Janet ...you have a whole different way of living up there ...dont you feel bad that your snow is melting down twds your Sons house ....????

I would be alone if it weren't for the animals, I mean the dogs and cats.

Yes, actually I had to put Frontline on them last week because they had fleas on them for some reason. Guess that's why they say to use it all year long. Didn't see many ticks this past year.
