pinto...THE BEATLES WERE GENIUS.......AND THEIR MUSIC MADE ME THINK
OF ALL THE OTHER GREAT MUSIC FROM THE 60'S.....SOME OF IT BEING
THE JAMES BOND THEME AND MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS.......ALSO LETS NOT
FORGET THAT GREAT MOTOWN SOUND....TEMPTATIOS,SUPREMES,FOUR TOPS.....SMOKEY...LITTLE STEVIE WONDER......MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS.....MARVIN GAYE.......AND THE BRITISH INVASION THAT FOLLOWED THE BEATLES......THE 60'S WAS A GOLD MINE FOR MUSIC...
MANY NEW SOUNDS......THE DOORS....HENDRIX.....CREAM.....MOODY BLUES......PINK FLOYD........
........AND ALL THOSE ARTIST PLAYED REAL ACOUSTIC INSTRAMENTS....
..NO MACHINES.......OR SYNCERSISORS....NO LIP SYNC...... -

t-bone51Yes Joe the 60's the best music.....I agree -
pinto....AS A MUSICIAN,I THINK THE 60'S ALSO INSPIRED MORE KIDS TO PICK
UP AN INSTRAMENT AND LEARN TO PLAY.....ALTHOUGH,IT'S WAS MOSTLY GUITARS.........BUT DRUM SALES DID SPIKE A BIT IN THE 60'S AFTER RINGO AND THE BEATLES PLAYED ON ED SULLIVAN SHOW.....IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TIME THE DRUMMER WAS SCENE UP FRONT AND ON A RISER........KIDS LIKE ME TOOK NOTICE......
....MY DAD WOULD TELL ME WHEN I WAS A SMALL KID,I WOULD BANG ON THINGS ALL THE TIME.....POTS,PANS....THEN I MOVED UP TO METAL GARBAGE PAIL LIDS(REMEMBER THEM).....MAILBOXES AND THE LAMP POST ON THE CORNER WHERE I LIVED.....SO IT WAS A NATURAL THING FOR ME TO PLAY DRUMS.... -
