Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Hi Jeanette, you said older age group we MAY not understand the things you remember. I have read some of your memories in the past and enjoyed them. Bring some more anytime !!!

Everyone is talking about alll the good or fun things about the blog and there sure is but its not a big deal if someone is trying to help "themselves" OR others feel more comfortable on it.
WE ... as on the scene and the ones behind the scene OR 1/2 & 1/2 's like me : ) are ALL part of this family, the common thread is the neighborhood. I would love for new people to keep coming, sharing and planning to meet one day. I think Janet had some good things to say but it's all in how you look into it, as Paul said its not to be taken so seriously and if it is well there is email for that or private message so I guess like all communities it doesn't hurt to communicate and learn from things.

Suzie...... When the nicer weather comes I doupt very much if no one will be here to make conversation, there always was, no matter the weather. Remember this blog was here way back, before us. I'm sure we will share our vacations, our BBQ's , our photo's (my favorite) and lots of other moments. WON'T WE !!

...the old fashion candy store.....egg creams,fat pretzels(stacked up on a stick...bazooka bumble gum,breyers? ice cream....those chocolate covered
jelly things..2 cents each(3 for 5 cents)in a box on the counter,fountain service sodas-5 cents ,10 cents sizes-all served in the "coke" glass...spaldin rubber balls..stick ball bats and clinchers,in the summertime....and if you sat at the soda counter ,god forbid you got caught spinning in the chair......oh yeah
