BUT I CAN'T COMPLAIN, I WILL BE OFF WEDNESDAY FOR MY SON'S GRADUATION AND I START JURY DUTY NEXT WEEK

Well, as of friday, I am unemployed!! Got laid off this past week. They cut my hours so much I'll probably do better on umemployment!! My husband said they are laying off 500 sanitation workers, thank God he has some seniority.

Debbie - sorry to hear about your job..it really sucks.

I know, it does suck!!! I say everything happens for a reason. Can't imagine what the reason for this could be!!!!! LOL

Deb - I'm a big believer in fate, sometimes the why does become apparent for quite awhile. I know it's an anxious time, but try to think of all the things you'll be able to do (& have put off) now that you have some time.

I am the one who got the surgery, that's why I am visiting the blog. (Aunt Jeanette is too busy gypsying it up and down the North Eastern coast)I'm home all damn day and hating it.

I am going to start putting time aside everyday to read the blog. This is a great source of entertainment!

Maybe, just maybe I will get a pic on this page too. Wouldn't that be great?

Loretta, I nbelieve that also. We take what God gives us. It's nice to hear people remembering my parents. They snow is on the way. It was flurrying before.

Wow, am glad that Tommy Reilly got on this blog. I'll have to wait until he's on to see if he remembers me.

Did my food shopping at 7:30 this morning. I don't know what it is about the snow, but it always makes me hungry (as if I need an excuse). Bought lots of snacks...I'll be 5 by 5 before the darn snow even gets here. Making a pot of lentils too - one of my favorite blizzard foods.

Where is Franny?? Wow, she must really be enjoying Florida and forgot about us, wahhhhhhhhhhhh. Miss her and hopefully will see her in a few weeks along with Terry and Christina.

Loretta, when they say snow is coming, all the bread and milk goes fast in the local store. We always thought that it was a conspiracy between the weather man and the owner of this food store chain. They even made a funny commercial about that.

See, you don't have to do all that in Brooklyn. Nothing stops you from walking to the store. Out of Brooklyn, you're stranded when you can't drive in the snow.
