Terry- the reason I was asking is because like you I was (and still think) I'm pretty athletic. However my family friend ARTY RITIS has taken up residence in both my knees. I'm looking at knee replacement not too far down the road.
My dad had them done when he was 78 & 80 so I'm coming up a LITTLE SHORT OF THAT.
I wear the neoprene braces whenever I bowl, play softball, golf etc and they seem to help a little. Ice wraps are good also. I only take IP when ever I am on them for a long time. I am starting an exercise program to build up the muscles in my legs which is suppose to help also.

Hopefully you will heal and everything will get back to working.

U r right. Have to build up my muscles. That is the first thing I have to do build them up. Going to go to .p. t. and they are going to show me what machines and what exercise to do for my muscles. I have the same friend that is another problem. Arthritis can not be cured but u can help it by building up muscle and taking care of yourself. I am waiting for my results for the MRI.

How is my old friend Dr. Finn it is his birthday this month maybe it was today I dont remember. God bless Nilda she is still going strong, she has to be near 80 now. Dont tell her i told u. Finn and I are the same age. He never shuts up. Is it true he had a heart attack????? Not doing surgery anymore????
He is a pain in the ass but he is an excellent Doctor. Very smart...Book wise common sense forget it. I wanted to kill him so many times. He would drive us crazy.....Miss that offfice. Miss my patients. Hope he gave u good news...
