geriob1Joke of the day....
Two old guys, one 80 and one 87, were sitting on their usual park bench one morning.
The 87 year old had just finished his morning jog and wasn't even short of breath. The 80 year old was amazed at his friend's stamina and asked him what he did to have so much energy. The 87 year old said, 'Well, I eat rye bread every day. It keeps your energy level high and you'll have great stamina with the ladies.'
So, on the way home, the 80 year old stops at the bakery. As he was looking around, the lady asked if he needed any help. He said, 'Do you have any rye bread?' She said, 'Yes, there's a whole shelf of it. Would you like some?'
He said, 'I want 5 loaves.' She said, 'My goodness, 5 loaves... by the time you get to the 5th loaf, it'll be hard.'
He replied, 'I can't believe it, everybody in the world knows about this shit but me.' -
graybeard49GOOD MORNING EVERYONE
NICE PIC JOE AND GREAT PHOTOS
THAT'S A NEW AND FUNNY ONE FOR ME GERI( AND I KNOW A LOT) GOING INTO MY MEMORY.
OK AN OLDIE BUT GOODY
A man is at the bar, really drunk. Some guys decide to be good Samaritans and get him home.
So they pick him up off the floor, and drag him out the door. On the way to the car, he falls down three times. When they get to his house, they help him out of the car and, he falls down four more times.
They ring the bell, and one says, "Here's your husband!"
The man's wife says, "Where the hell is his wheelchair?" -
graybeard49I'M BUSY TODAY SO I'LL CHECK BACK IN LATER
HAVE A GREAT DAY -
graybeard49TERRY:
I LEFT MY FATHER-IN-LAW'S NAME AND ADDRESS FOR YOU ON PAGE 1058
MAYBE THEY KNOW HIM -
francescaGood Morning -
JOE, hang in there with Mom. That's great to keep her focused on the new baby. Sorry about your other loss, for your children's grandma.
I don't envy you and the others who are dealing with ill-loved ones and the possibility of losing them.
There are so many old people down here that within the mass when
we pray for everything, they actually say and "for those who are about
to die." - Terry do you remember that when we went to mass here?
Anyway, keep the faith - that's what we all keep preaching. It is all
we can do..... Love to you, Joe!!!!
PATSY- THANKS for your prayers. Frank is actually ok (never has symptoms of anything - which is scary). Last night he just fell asleep at the table LOL after a loooooong day and lots of wine :-)
But prayers are always welcome!!!!
Again, I love your family and am glad I actually had a chance to see
them (think you showed them at reunion, but that was a hectic day).
LOVE YOU, MS. MIELE.. oh, Mrs. K -
francescaTERRY - I did not watch 'amazing race' -- i taped it. I had company
last night and actually left the table to stand in front of TV to be sure it
was taping (those darn basketball players going into overtime screw it
up). I look forward to seeing it, especially since I had a problem last
week w/DVR and it didn't tape. If you cried, I'm sure I'll cry when I
watch it.
I was going to watch last night - but then got on the blog - and you know
how that goes.... No return to plan.
RE: Anxiety...
Talk to your doctor. Maybe he/she can give you something - even to
take when you go on the plane. When we went to Italy I begged Frank
to give me a prescription for Xanex (sp?) and he gave me a hardtime.
So I said, I'm going to the doctor, will cost $$$ just to get something
you can prescribe - one shot deal. So he prescribed 5 pills for me
(cheapie) -- I think I still have two. Maybe I can mail to you.
However, long-term - maybe you need to take something. Again,
talk to the doctor. As I said before, after all the tests thinking I was
having a heart attack, I got Inderall, which is what people take for
stage-fright. Even though I woke this morning with the shakes,
upset stomach, etc. from my anxiety - Faith-related. Wonder if
they are working? What a horrible feeling. Makes me feel like I did everyday going to work.
TERRY - one more thing related to this - is your blood pressure high?
Will talk to you before you leave...... Love you TE TE! -
francescaSorry friends..... Think I'm the only one on here that doesn't know
how to write one or two sentence posts..... Oh well - Love Me Anyway! -
francescaBYE friends.... Will catch up with you along the way...
Jim and others in 'need' - prayers for you all, today and everyday!
