OK, will try to come back on later unless I am overwhelmed by the attempt to do my taxes. My best solution to stress is to take a nap. We will see.

    Hey - I am a good cook....I don't know who's been telling you differently..lol lol

To all the good cooks out there, question. If I wanted to make artichokes for Easter, can I make them a day ahead and keep them in the refrigerator or will they get dried out and turn brown....I admit I don't always have the answers but I do try...lol lol

I would ask my mom or Laura, but I didn't tell them I was making them just in case I have no time...(Laura I hope you are not reading this!!!!)

Hi Franny - We are always thinking about you.....and don't be silly, not everybody reads everything....just because some of us have NO LIVES and can read every page, its not easy to keep up... if I did not work, I would probably never keep up....but being in work I am always in front of my computer so its easy for me to keep up and respond......just come on when ever you have a chance...we love hearing from you..

Anthony - I have to admit (you can ask my husband) I AM a sloppy cook but a good cook......lol lol

Judy - yes, you can cook them the day before. nothing will happen to them. just reheat them in the micro for a few minutes. I actually like them room temp. (I have a baby shower on Saturday afternoon - can't imagine what they were thinking when they planned it - so I'll make mine on Saturday morning before I leave). Wish your mom and sister a Happy Easter for me.

    Subject: artichokes

    hi all,

been sooo busy tryin to get ready for the holiday - so many lil ones to think of, but so nice. then got a job to do for a pizzeria opening up in the city soon. gotta paint the "coming soon" sign.

hey franny - good to see u, as always.

    judy artichokes? yum, my fav.
what i usually do is par boil them first the day before, so they don't occupy the stove too much on the holiday, (so many other foods cookin there.) then put them in the frig until the next day.
if you're stuffin them, season the stuffing, and place that in the frig till the next day too, this way prep is quick.
stuff them, then cook them fully on the holiday, so it's fast, fresh and still hot.

terry - - pinch a nice one for me, will ya?

    lada - gotta cook dinner.

    hey sue
