JOKE O'DAY
The new priest is nervous about hearing confessions, so he asks the
Older priest to sit in on his sessions. The new priest hears a couple
confessions, then the old priest asks him to step out of the confessional
for a few suggestions.
The old priest suggests, "Cross you arms over your chest, and rub your
chin with one hand."
The new priest tries this...
The old priest suggests, "Try saying things like, 'I see; yes; go on;'
The new priest practices saying those things...
The old priest says, "AND NEVER AGAIN SAY
NO SHIT WHAT HAPPENED NEXT” -

graybeard49FYI
BISHOP-ARCHBISHOP-CARDINAL
To begin with Sacramentally there is no difference. Sacramentally they re all of the Rank of Bishop.
Functionally and jurisdictionally they are different.
A Bishop is in charge of a diocese. A diocese is a particular Church of an area. An Arch-diocese is a very large and important diocese. An Arch-bishop is the Bishop of an Arch-diocese and does have a little jurisdiction and function involving the smaller dioceses surrounding the Archdiocese. For instance if a diocese is vacant. The Archbishop has some responsibility until a new Bishop is appointed and will be the main Ordaining or Consecrating Bishop of the new Bishop. He will also be involved in the Installation of the new Bishop in his diocese, if the new Bishop is already a Bishop. However it is not true to the business model. An Archbishop is NOT the boss of the other diocesan Bishops.
A Cardinal is also a Bishop Sacramentally, it is an honorary title. Cardinals are usually Bishops of Archdiocese or other special diocese there can be more than one in a country. (there is one Cardinal who is not a Bishop)
Cardinals have jurisdiction anywhere in the world. and are advisors to the Pope in the College of Cardinals and Vatican Congregations and electors of the Pope if under a certain age. To elect a Pope the Cardinal must travel to Rome, I believe that is the only other thing than age that would prevent a Cardinal from participating in a papal election.
Bishops (including Archbishops and Cardinals) can delegate certain responsibilities like the care of their cathedral to priest helpers.
There are other titles used for ranking Bishops in countries like Primate, Patriarc
