Jeanette, I keep meaning to tell you that I love Rhode Island. We have
many relatives there from the Irish side of the family.
Providence, Cranston and somewhere else??
We used to go to the beach, I think Oakland??? and have clam cakes.
It was a beach with an O, lol.

I always think about the Clam Cakes and wish I had some now, lol.

In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.[1]

The longest-running Flag Day parade is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, which began 1952 and will celebrate its 57th year in 2009. [3]

The largest Flag Day parade is held annually in Troy, New York, which bases its parade on the Quincy parade and typically draws 50,000 spectators
