Hope you all have a great day, celebrating OUR FREEDOM.

Tonight we will watch a fireworks display down at the beach.
So that will be fun (our first 4th here). Will miss our annual
traditional celebration with our NJ friends, but what can you
do? Would lose count of the number of wine bottles to
recycle; always a great 4th!

Painters are back - they asked if we would mind if they came
today.. Why not... So we're going to make a BBQ for them at
lunch. Nice guys, but SUZIE - don't think I'll be posting
any pictures of them :roll: Just keep your fantasies to my
'landscaper' the guy who trims the bush.

WHY I DON'T CARRY A GUN

An elderly woman did her shopping and, upon returning
to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with
her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags, drew her
handgun, and proceeded to scream at them at the top of
her voice, "I have a gun and I know how to use it! Get
out of the car, you slimeballs!"

The four men didn't wait for a second invitation but got
out and ran like mad. The woman, somewhat shaken, proceeded
to load her shopping bags in the back of the car and get into
the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her
key into the ignition. She tried and tried, to no avail.

And then it dawned on her why. A few minutes later, she
found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.
She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station.

The sergeant, to whom she told the story, nearly tore himself
in two with laughter and pointed to the other end of the counter,
where four pale males were reporting a carjacking by a mad elderly
woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly
white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.

Good Morning People. Dragging today. Stayed up til 3am.
Was on Facebook, and also IM ing with Joe until 2:30am.
Boy am I tired.

Have about an hour on the computer before taking the
kids to a community 4th of July picnic.

Have a safe and happy 4th.

This was 4th of July .....back in the day on 17st. That day was always filled with excitement ... especially at night!
Looking back at this pic...Im thinking now....we were crazy! LOL
After it was all over ....we would all get a broom and sweep the streets ...then turn on the johnny pump
and wash down the street ....and listen to the cars swishing
along on 5th avenue. Some of us didnt go to bed till the sun
came out ....
