maryannlhi maryann! mom worked at the bazooka factory on third ave, bklyn. wats ur last name? i'll ask he... wouldn't dat be something?!
u never know...me and deb just found out thru mom dat one of her (much older) aunts was my grandmother's bridesmaid - incredible!
...where was the pearl factory anyway? real pearls?
hi debs! miss ya!
-------------------------
my mom is Gloria Minafo, she was born on 22nd st and then moved to 28th. Does anyone know what street the Pearl Factory was on? I don't recall any of my family members talking about the bazooka factory, I'll need to ask! It's a small world-------really--------and you don't know the connections with the older folks unless you talk to them about the past!!!!
Have a great day!!!! -
karendrittoAfternoon All - Happy Wednesday.
I was supposed to go out to lunch - thank goodness I don't have to - my friend cancelled cause of the weather. Also, Wednesday's in Time Square is horrible - tourists galore + matinee day = too many people for me.
I think the Pearl Factory was on 3rd Ave. in the low 30's - like 32nd (either in or near Bush Terminal) - don't know if the pearls were real but now, for then, I'd say no.
Happy Vacation Jim. We have Geri sending the jokes!!
Debbie - what time is dinner - broccolirabe and sausage - my favorite. (As a kid, I once ate an entire pot of it - boy was my stomach not happy - neither was my mother - that was dinner (can you say reservation?)!)
Lunch time - YAY - my other favorite time of day (5pm is my first favorite). My ham sammich is calling.
Hopefully I'll be back later. -
