TERRY, I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD MENTION THAT MY MOM ALWAYS TALKS ABOUT A GUY NAME CHUBBY THAT WAS THE BEST DANCER AT PROSPECT HALL, HE WAS FROM CARROLL/GARNET ST. HE HUNG AROUND WITH HER AND HER COUSINS. COULD THIS BE YOUR UNCLE? I THINK WE HAVE A PHOTO OF HIM TOO.

Evening people. OK, I got here. After over ab hour extra on the plane, the pilot said the we had been circling and that we were landing in Allentown, PA to refuel due to bad weather/clouds at Newark. SO, I arrived 3 hours later than expected. I felt like I just got off a cruise ship after a week and am so tired, I can barely keep my eyes open.

Hi Jeanette, I live in Raleigh, NC, been here 21 yrs. long time!!!!
I was in B'klyn for a wedding about 4-5 yrs. ago and we rode down 5th ave, wow, I had that homesick feeling, it was weird but good to be back. My husband's grandparents lived in Bay Ridge on a 90th block and we went round and round, we couldn't find their apt. building, some things change I guess. We also went to 14th st. I wanted to show him my school and it's all closed down now, I was stunned.

Where do you live? Yes, sitting out in the sun should help!

Jeanette, I know what you mean about culture shock and trying to blend in, it was hard adjusting but I went through this once before when I moved to upstate NY. LOL It's a never ending story and I still can't lose the B'klyn accent, I meet people every where I go. We have sooooo many people from LI down here, you can sell your house up there in NY and pay cash down here and get more house for your money. My husband lived in Danbury for about 4 yrs., he loved it. I'm sure you will feel better in the morning!!

Hi Patsy, I'm jealous, you all know one another and/or grew up together, that's great!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice memories of all your families, etc. I heard so much about the neighborhood and all the old stories because my grandmother lived with our family until she passed away when I was about 24. I could sit for hrs. listening to her stories.

A young man walked into an agent's office in Hollywood and said, 'I want to be a movie star.' Tall, handsome and, with experience on Broadway, he had the right credentials.
