Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

ALL -

Didn't want to mention this but I guess I will. I found out I have to get
my gallbladder out. Other than it is not functioning too well, I have no
other information. I have to see a surgeon next Wednesday. While
I don't like this, I am so relieved it was not cancer. Hope I can get
it taken care of soon; I have my plane tickets and I don't want to miss
my trip up North. In addition to our reunion, my sister's having one at
her house on Sunday afternoon, w/family and whoever... I'm going
to be a Busy Brooklyn Beaver (not meaning to go to Beaverhood, Suzie)

Also,
Please keep my breasts in your prayers this week (.) (.)
Thursday morning they are going for a major check-up and it is always
a very scary thing... sitting and waiting.... Even being a survivor comes
with lots of baggage, right Debbie B. S...??



On the business end, I am doing some consulting work with the
Cathedral here (non-paying of course). But you never know, maybe
I'll get some paying opportunities from it... Hopefully, not too many,
I like 'retirement' too much and prefer volunteering. I still am
shell-shocked from Corp America.

...and yes, we do lunch on sundays...
...as of now, we offer specials, weekdays only - two fers, for $9.00.
a choice of margarita pizza (very good btw - thin crusted) - a veal dish, chicken, mixed salad, wraps, eggplant, pasta of the day, (yesterday it was veg lazanga) soup of the day, etc...
the food is really very good. the staff were all imported from europe, our chef, anna from rome, her assisatant, (john franco from naples) our pizza guy from france...etc...

...and yes we will eventually be hiring as the demand for help increases. right now it's just me and miko serving. i started just yesterday to train someone to bus - today i'm solo till 3 pm.
but i'll def let sabrie and nick know of ur son...
