can't say i'm working my ass off yet - as the clientel didn't build up to dat point - but the friggin commute, the long walks to the buses, and the mental focus of wat needs to get done in the restaurant is a lot to contend with.

franny im prying for your girls too, i see thats what the ladies are calling them lol. had my mamogram results my girls are doing fine. cant wiat for the reunion so the girls cans meet up. lol
terry had a colonoscopy done last year for the first time,never felt anything,i asked the doctor when he was going to start the procedure, he said idid your all finished!!!!!!

Hello all of "Youse".
Was in Brooklyn last week and had to get back with the lingo.
We stayed at the LeBleu. It is quite expensive but very nice. The bathrooms that people worried about are not quite as revealing as was described. There is a curtain that goes all the way around the glass enclosed shower. The toilet area has a smoked glass sliding door so you are not displaying your excretions or private body parts to the whole room as had been suggested. The only non-enclosed area is the bathroom sink which is pedestal type with a modern basin that sits on top. Coming from a quiet senior place in Florida we found the 4th ave street noise a little much. The restaurant (The Vue) has superb food and of course in true NY fashion is pretty costly. The service in the restaurant and the Hotel was extra special with very polite and helpful service. We got to walk the old neighborhood, saw the houses and Church we grew up in and spent a lot of time with Carol's 94 year old Mother on 13th Street.She has lived in the same house since she was 3 years old. That was the main purpose of the trip. We found the streets to be clean, and construction going on all over the place. From 4 & 5 story apartment & condo buildings to skyscraper condo's. Hard to recognize 4th ave with the huge buildings. All in all it was a treat to beat my feet back in good old Park Slope. By the way, in the room in LeBleu they have books on the history of Brooklyn and walking tours of Brooklyn. Old Goat
