  • If you want your time to be correct, go to Your Page at top and change the time zone to -5 and it will be the correct time like me & Patsy.
  • I'm clueless as to what's going on here...just can't keep up with all I have to do for mom... but I did read about the Calciano Family, my heart goes out to that mother - "Dear God, give her a break!"
As to the others passing who I don't know, and our fellow bloggers, their family members with health issues, you are in my thoughts as I know me and my family are yours....

Sue, real quickly, I caught that you did make the lentil soup and liked it, I'm glad...

  • Hello Everyone -

Sorry to read of Bruce and John's deaths. Prayers for their souls and their families... and to those of you who knew them.

Terry should be home today. I was thinking "Thursday" - maybe she decided to stay in the Caribbean and become an Island Girl Vs. Brooklyn Girl.

Hope Debbie is ok and gets good news/test results.

Hope you are all staying healthy and happy.

Anthony -- Congratulations on your great news... Wishing you continued,
extraordinary health, mobility, and peace of mind. And a belated Happy Birthday!

I'll be right back with the name of another Park Slopian who my sister met yesterday (He was from 18th & 6th Ave). I have to go check his name....

    See ya' soon.

  • Hi Patsy - I wil tell her you said Hi ... I got to see her this week. I went to Brooklyn for a wake. My goodness, sounds like there are a lot of deaths this week. Glad to see you are doing well... and getting ready to celebrate a Birthday! Love to you always!
  • THYANX, FRANNY. TELL FRANK I SAID "HI" LOVE YOU TOO XX00
  • YES, THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF DEPRESSING NEWS ON HERE LATELY.

HOPEFULLY, THINGS WILL TURN AROUND FOR THE BETTER SOON.

    TALK TO YOU SOON:)
  • RE: George Falanco
18th St and 6th Ave... Lived on corner. Next door neighbor to John and Bernadette VanHack.

If anyone knew him, he has surfaced and is aware of the Neighborhood's
    Re-Awakening.

My sister Phyllis went to a funeral yesterday and she thought the limo driver looked familiar. Then she said to him "I went to school with you."
(Last time they saw each other was 46 years ago.)

It was George. He said to her - You're name is Phyllis Bruno and your mother was short, black hair and glasses (imagine he remembered that?) He remembered Tony Mei, Ralph Marsella, my cousin Joey Schiavo (20th St.) and of course Terry Angelo.
BUT HE IS NOT HER COUSIN  Finally, someone who is not Terry's cousin (Love you Te Te)

Terry - he thought you were married to Charlie Siciargo...

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just thought I'd mention this in case any of you knew him.

GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS, LOTS OF LOVE & GOD BLESS....

    Always in my prayers!!!
  • LOVE YOU TOO, PATSY...

Say some prayers to St. Joseph; someone is looking at this house tomorrow at 2pm. Hoping it doesn't snow.... (I know there are more important things to pray for... but what the heck) [-o< God says we should ask for blessings. (Prayer of Jabez) Good Night!
  • GOOD LUCK, FRANNY HOPE YOU SELL IT SOON ! :) LOVE YA, :)

Crazy time to post - but I can't sleep tonight... I will let him know he's in your thoughts Patsy. Stay well. xo :)
  • Sorry to hear about Brucie. He was one of the people that came to mind when you go back and think of all the people you knew Sorry to all his family & the people nearest & dearest to him.

Also to the family of John Calciano , another person gone way to soon.
  • Good Morn. Festina,
I can't sleep either, woke up 3 times already. I came in for tea & decided to check the site and saw the news.

Not easy for you either I guess. Hope you have people to talk to beside here. Taking care of a loved one can take a lot out of you. I did for my dad so I know. Stay well. xo
  • Good Morning Carol - sorry you can't sleep, but glad you're up with me! It's tough, you're right. I went thru this before with mom when she had her quad bypass. Just wiped me out as I'm sure you know having gone thru it with your dad. I did with mine too.
Thank God I have a pretty good support system, with my kids, brothers, cousins, aunt's and so many good friends, thanks to the reunion. It put me in touch with the people from the neighborhood I have come to realize were more than friends, they were family too, and I am so grateful for all of them! :)
Boy, am I enjoying this coffee this morning as I email Franny.
Sending Love as you enjoy your tea! Let's try and get a nap today! LOL! xo
