Cat-friendly landlords? Rooms/Apts for rent?

I'm all about getting out of my neighborhood and moving somewhere peaceful, relatively clean and quiet. It has proven to be tremendously difficult to find a cat friendly apartment despite the fact I have references from current AND former landlords stating that I am an exemplary pet owner. (No peeing around the house or crooning all night long. You wouldn't even know I had 'em.) Alas, I can't help but be honest when landlords ask and they never seem to be flexible.

I am either looking for a room in an apartment with generally progressive folks or to find a 2 - 3 br with my roommate. If you have any leads in any capacity, let me know. Thanks again.

My next door neighbors are renting out a recently-renovated 2 br apartment on the 3rd floor of their brownstone. $1600. I'm pretty sure it's still available. PM me and I'll give you their phone number. Definitely cat friendly...they have like 6-7 cats themselves! Oh, at it's located near the Bedford-Nostrand G stop (Greene between Bedford and Franklin).
