Fall Classes 2008 begin week of September 22

Young Actors Workshop classes are small in size and fun. Children acquire acting skills through a combination of improvs, theater games and scene work, increasing self confidence, expressiveness and collaborative abilities. References happily supplied.

*Audition Intensive: Performing Arts High Schools.
Finding the right monologues, rehearsing and preparing for these rigorous auditions significantly improve a child’s chances of admission at these competitive public schools. Proven results!

*Basic Acting & Improvisation
(Grades 4-6, 6-8 and 9-12) Age appropriate games, exercises and scene study.

*The Play's the Thing
(Grades 8 and up) Rehearsal and performance of a classic comedy.

Ezra Barnes is a teacher, actor, and director. He has performed Off-Broadway, has been featured on Law & Order and in films (Fox Searchlight's Joshua and the upcoming Once More With Feeling). He is Artistic Director of Shakespeare on the Sound in Norwalk, CT. A longtime Brooklyn resident and parent, Ezra has taught theater for young people at Poly Prep and Saint Ann’s School, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and Piper Productions.
