ob/gyn recs? (and rant)
This topic was floating around on another board, but I can't find it so I thought I'd ask here...
any recommendations for an ob/gyn in park slope area?
I just called to make an appointment and was on hold for eight minutes so I called back and was on hold for another three. The next appointment I could get is in December. I know they hold time slots for emergencies and those who are pregnant, but I think that's a bit much.
My doctor is ok, but there's got to be a better option.

Personally I think that Orna Kolker is the best thing since sliced bread. You have to wait long for an appointment with her. If that would not work here are some others.
Good luck.

Not in the Slope, but I'm die hard for Downtown Women in Soho. Same building as Bliss, so two birds, one stone.

Apparently there's a shortage of women ob-gyns in Park Slope. That's the excuse I got when I tried to schedule an appointment and got offered one many months later...

Obviously NOT in Park Slope but Dr. Meimaris in midtown rocks. Her office looks like a spa. I was seen exactly on time and out of there in half an hour. She even has monitors up with beach scenes so you can focus on lapping waves while being violated with a nifty LED lighted speculum.

At most gyn/ob offices you have to call at least 2 months in advance for a basic pap smear. Downtown OB/GYN in Soho is actually a 3 month wait.

No way- I've never had to wait that long. -
Mine was a week wait - I actually had to push it back to the next week due to my schedule.
