Apartment break in - 7th ave and 9th Street
Comments

Good times...
My place in on 7th Ave, not 9th Street. There is access to the backyard via the street on 10th (albeit difficult) and then onto the roof via the fire escape. From there you can get to all the roofs on the block. If you were willing to jump you could get to all the roofs on 9th Street (btw 6th and 7th Ave.)...
This is not news to any criminal or any passerby with a criminal mind. -

I get to be a sexist because all his talk about the "women of Brooklynian" - Flexi, Mamacita, Sweet tea and Caa, caused me to think about women in general.
By the time I read Daver's name, my attention span was long gone.
All I could write and think was she, she, she.
I'll have to confess to Mrs. Whynot tonight.
Back to the topic, break ins are bad. Rent insurance is good. -
No harm, Whynot. Some of my 13 posts have been slightly effeminate, like giving soup recommendations to sick people.
-
It's cool VoodooNYC... maybe you're just gay.
Oh, don't all jump on me at once... like you weren't thinking it.
On another note: if a mod even thinks about censoring this post I preemptively take serious objection. -

Voodoo, I'm not sure you should ascribe yourself female characteristics. ...the board members will do that as they see fit.
Someone should start a threat on "Should sick people eat soup" and "Is it effeminate to tell sick people what kind of soup to eat". These issues must be discussed; you've really started something now.
P.S. Make sure to never ascribe a negative value to a female characteristic, they'll get you on that too.
Hey LBGTQ and "straight but not narrow" folks, Drunken Rival needs a beat down for his comment ...it's up to you to not to let this opportunity pass. -

Thanks Why, but I have been behind the scenes on this board for over a year and I was fully expecting something like that from DR. I am fully comfortable in my manhood to ascribe myself feminine traits. And for the record, I am straight DR, not that it matters or should make any difference to you.
Maybe I should start a post describing each Brooklynian member with one word. And Caa, I don't think lewd is what I would pick for DR. Just sayin'. -

I think its Karmic as long as someone else does it. I.E., you yourself can't punch someone and then claim it was karma. ...but you might be able to ascribe karma to someone else punching someone.
Especially if the person's name is Karma. -

Well I certainly knew some heat was coming... as a long time lurker on this board I had little doubt that you, did indeed, see me coming VooDoo..
My question is this: what can't I simply suggest that someone is gay? Since when is asking that question a problem in a liberal minded society. This isn't farmer Bob's message board reporting on the weather conditions in Arkansas - this is Park Slope for christ's sake.
May I suggest that caaahyoko is straight? Or would that create stir?
Give me a break... the dude likes cats, lives in Park Slope, and lurks around the Park Slope message board... I'm a drunken guest of sorts with a bad attitude and nothing to lose. Play along will you..
For the record Voodoo, and the rest of you, it doesn't matter to me or make any difference to me what you are or where you chose to get your jollies... As long as you are a good person, and I have a feeling you are, stick that comfortable "manhood" anywhere you want. -
I certainly don't care if you suggest someone is gay. I mean, it's not an insult, at least not to me. But there is something kind of derogatory in the way you say it. I think that's what people have a problem with.
And for the record, I live in Carroll Gardens. But that board is completely boring. -

An unfortunate fact of NYC is that there are petty thieves walking about, and one must always insure that there are no easy access points into buildings. These are criminals of opportunity, who walk around and look for easy targets, such as open windows and open doors. I was recently in a building with an open door, and a man walked in and quickly walked out after seeing that someone was in the building. They have probably been around since the beginning of time. Lock your doors, and make sure there are no easy opportunities. This story is an old story told many times before. -

But do you wear a blue hat? [ducks] -

We've had sexuality references, the assumption that one's avatar results in gender assignment, ....all we need now is for someone to state they hate the food co-op and P.S. 321, and this thread will never end.
I love the Slope! ...I love it from Prospect Heights. -

Sorry to hear that, I shall pray for you every night.
I say "they" however it could have been one person. What I can say is "they" didn't take much - just and old laptop and about $25 in change.
Anyway, just wanted to give people a heads up as these crimes sometimes go in streaks and often coincide with school holidays.

I use Allstate and it covers both robbery and fire (brick building) I checked my Quicken to see how much I actually paid and it was 197.50.
