OK, was about to sign on with Alma Realty @ 523 Prospect Pl (once 551, apparently), but am very concerned about talk of bedbugs, no hot water, and shady dealings by the apt managers (which I'd already noticed, and which sent me here to check things out, fortunately). It's a beautiful apartment, but I don't know if I need the aggravation.

Am now looking for a "1 br plus" or decent 2-bed in the $1800 and under range. By "plus" I mean a balcony or a yard or a half-room that I can use as an office, etc. No realtor fee, please. I have a geriatric cat, who doesn't claw (she pretty much just eats and lies around).
