No more dogs in Prospect Park?

I used to take my pup to the Long Meadow in the mornings for the off-leash hours. I read the gothamist article and the brooklyn paper link but neither mention if that is affected by this new enforcement of an apparently existing law. Anyone seen these signs in the park and know if they are only talking about 9am-9pm?

  • they are talking about a rule that bans dogs from the ball fields. (as a dog owner, even I agree a baseball player should not have to slide into a base that my dog just peed on).

The 9PM - 9AM rule says they can be off lease only from 9 PM - 9AM.

...so far they have been lax about enforcing this rule in the Nethermead.

I'm betting they'll be even more lax when it is cold and the park is empty.
