If you grew up in Park Slope... — Brooklynian

If you grew up in Park Slope...

Or if you just wonder what it used to be like...

You'll want to check out this article in the Times about a Facebook group devoted to photos and stories of Park Slope in the 80s.

  • Do you actually think born-and-raised would bother reading this blog? If I were them I think people like us have already driven them to Queens or suicide. Some would argue that that's redundant...
  • Land-Mime I totally disagree with what you said. I am old enough to have raised 3 kids in PS who are all in their 30's.. Two of them were blessed (or smart enough) to remain in the hood and they do participate in this forum and others on the net that relate to the Slope.

Not to state this to heavenly but indeed it was a blessing for a lot of people to have been born and raised here and some of them have gone through many personal changes to remain here. Welcome to all who do not fall in that category but the "oldness" of this neighborhood still endures. Have no doubts.
