New to Brooklyn, how would you describe the neighborhoods?

So, I am a recent move to Brooklyn, while my fiance has lived here for years. I know this will be subjective, but how would you describe the following Brooklyn Neighborhoods? Just wanting to get an overall sense of my surroundings.

Bay Ridge
Boerum Hill
Borough Park
Brooklyn Heights
Carroll Garden
Cobble Hill
DUMBO
Ft. Greene
Park Slope
Prospect Heights
Red Hook
Windsor Terrace

Prospect Heights rules!

The neighborhood has everything you need, bars, restaurants, diners, supermarkets and more! It is close to the park, the libary and the museum. The sidewalks are less crowded, but if you want some craziness just cross over Flatbush Avenue.

Boerum Hill - What, this isn't downtown?
Borough Park - "Wear your yarmulke," says Wikipedia
Brooklyn Heights - Bring your checkbook.
Carroll Garden - Big front lawns, some paved over.
Cobble Hill - Trees, brownstones.
DUMBO - Old bricks.
Ft. Greene - Can I get that yellow clapboard?
Park Slope - What happened to the lesbians?
Prospect Heights - Granny carts.
Red Hook - Hip bars and harbor.
Windsor Terrace - Brookyln's own mini red state but with bagels.

However, the Park Slope buffalo may be gone for good. I guess you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.

Bay Ridge - alot of bars (due to large irish pop)and restaurants and stuff and a century 21 there .

Boerum Hill - same area as carroll gardens

Borough Park - alot of hasidic jews, dont drive through the area.

Brooklyn Heights - damn rich folks

Carroll Garden - nice restruants and small shops. i love the
restaurants in the area.

Cobble Hill - same as carroll gardens

DUMBO - tiny rich area with some galleries and near water

Ft. Greene - has BAM on southern border and a small park.

Park Slope- has nice restaurants and park! central library

Prospect Heights - has a nice park and museum and botanical garden, central library.

Red Hook - gehtto city, alot of projects and warehouses.

Windsor Terrace - nice small area south of parkslope for family with kids.

sunset park- chinatown and industrial area, and large hispanic area

bensonhurst - has good Italian food and chinese food

gravesend- same as bensonhurst

sheepsheadbay - they have a marina and alot of restruants

marinepark area- well huge park !!! one of my favorites

brighton beach - got a beach and russian foods


east new york and brownsville- old nyc from the 1980's feels like that way when you go there. i suggest you avoid the area lol.

east flatbush - caribbean area and nice foods

midwood - nice middle/upper middle class with huge houses and victorians

ditmas park - large victorian houses

pros:
cheap rents
not fully gentrified yet -- large islamic/puerto-rican/dominican population
not carroll gardens and not park slope either. right in the middle.
gowanus is the taint of brooklyn

close to mall
close to pacific st./atlantic ave. stop
not that far from prospect park

cons: rats. some blocks are infested with rats
with little rat bars, and rat parties with little rat drama
and they're not scared of nothing
they'll gnaw off your naughty bits just as soon as ignore you
