where are smaller USA-made sofas sold in Brooklyn?
Hey - I was living in PS for 7 years before moving to Maine to care for family, only to settle here and start a furniture design and retailing company. Now our designs are buoying our retail store through otherwise bleak times. I have started wholesaling these sofa and chair designs to stores in CT and MA, and think NYC would be an excellent market. Know any small stores that would benefit from having some compact, excellent quality American made chairs and sofas for you all to buy? I am willing to reward anyone that puts me in touch with a local, family-owned store that is known for excellent customer service and high product standards. You guys are going to love this stuff. check it out on condosofa.com - I am coming back to deliver to Queens and NYC and Scarsdale this Nov 2 & 3 and will be in the area to follow up some leads and visit any I hear about from you. Many thanks in advance, REE

How about Rico on Atlantic Ave? Park Slope retail is a little cramped for sofas....
If I was you, I'd ask the editors of ApartmentTherapy.com

Home On Court on Court Street

Hey - Rico is excellent and on my list of places to talk to. I used to import antique Asian furniture & accessories when we lived in PS, sold them at Kimera on Atlantic - had no idea I would be doing this now. As for Home on Court - Mexcellent lead - thanks very much!

Not Brooklyn but http://www.scottjordan.com/

thanks - I have research Scott Jordan and while it seems they sell case goods of their own design, they may be interested as they sell the American Leather and American Upholstery (fabric side of the same manufacturer out of Texas, started by one or two ex-Andersen Consulting guys I met in NC 2 years ago) so maybe they would consider our line as well. Appreciate that suggestion very much. Best regards, REE

Yep, thought of them first, because I paid too much for a mediocre sofa the year my son was born, and had to downsize it when we moved into our modest home in Maine. Not to be a snob, but I pride myself on service and more service, and want this line to go to smaller, family-run outfits that really, truly look out for the consumer. If I did sell to ABC, it would likely be on the condition that they private label (they'd likely require it anyway). Thanks again for that idea!
