Anyone know of a good dermatologist in North Slope?

Comments

  • Dr. Sourab Choudbury. I don't have his # handy, but he shouldn't be hard to find
  • Alan Kling has the personality of a dead moth.
  • Dr. Mark Tesser
    24 Prospect Park W
    Brooklyn, NY 11215

    718-857-7070
  • Dr. Frankel on 7th Avenue.
Very friendly and, I assume (hope!) thorough.
  • I second Dr. Frankel
  • Third on Dr Frankel
  • We're not thrilled with Dr. Frankel at all. I had Tesser on my list to call.
  • I wrote previously about Dr. Tesser:

"Mark has been a friend and my family's dermatologist for quite a few years. He is thorough, careful, and very insightful and empathetic. He correctly diagnosed a very unusual, potentially serious illness in my then-nine year old child (after other doctors had failed to do so), and helped my wife and myself maintain our sanity until further blood test results came back and provided some comfort."
  • Sorry to hear you weren't a fan of Dr. Frankel's

I've never had such a streamlined visit with a medical professional in my life. I go in, sign in, and under 3 minutes I'm seeing the doctor. He's always friendly and he gets the job done. Cold weather no longer is an enemy to my skin.

I've never seen any other dermatologist so I have no basis for comparison, but Dr. Frankel definitely gets the thumbs up from me.
  • Thanks for all the advice guys! I have so many choices....

I have recommended him on other threads when this subject came up.

The efifcient way his office is run is exceptional. When he is with you he is focused and if your situation is an easy fix then he will deal with it and in 6 minutes you will be on the street again. However, if the situation is complicated or demands more of his time to make you understand what the problem is and make you feeel emotionally o.k. he will spend the extra time.
