I was doing research on the underground oil spill in Greenpoint and ran across this map of big time Newtown Creek Polluters. Can anyone vouch as to the accuracy of the information on this site. In particular, is it true, as the site claims, that there are "potentially explosive concentrations of methane gas in the shallow soil vapor beneath the intersection of Bridgewater Street, Apollo Street, and Norman Avenue"?!?!
