Subject: the dog that died last night @ franklin & st john's...

does anybody know what happened to this dog?
right around 10 last night, i heard a loud bang, and then the incredibly painful to hear sounds of a dog dying...i looked out the window and there appeared to be a dead dog in intersection, with people gathered around, and lots of shouting. was this a hit and run? so sad.

    wow.
  • This was not a "gang initiation" this was a kid arrogantly and stupidly walking his dog without a leash. Boy you guys watch way too many movies...
  • Of course the dog is the one who suffered because of some asshole. I hate these macho pricks who walk their dogs without a leash, thinking they're "tough" enough to control them. I let my 13 year old dog off leash only late at night in the middle of a long block because I've had him for 12 years. But as soon as I see him get distracted or there are people around or we get close to an intersection he goes right back on. My 5 year old dog is an idiot who would run right out into the street so she never gets loose.

That poor dog, I hope it's passing was quick.
  • What a shame. I hate it when animals pay for the stupidity of their owners.

Same thing with my half-idiot, Caseopele. When we're up in CT, he's leashless and it actually shocks me how well behaved he is - never venturing farther then 10 feet from me unless I give the say so. In the city, on the other hand, he likes to spin himself into the street on his leash and try to get his ass as close to on-coming traffic as possible.
