Furnished (optional) room in 2 BR avail in Dec/Jan
I am leaving NYC at the end of the month for a dream job but unfortunately will have to give up a great apartment and roommate.
I'm looking for someone (preferably female) to sublet my room from Dec. to Jun 09. There is an option to sign/renew the lease then.
About the place...it's a 2 BR on the 2nd floor of a brownstone. The apartment is spacious (950 sq ft) and has a full kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 real bedrooms. The apartment is fully furnished and recently renovated so there are some nice perks: ceiling fans, new applicances (fridge, microwave and gas stove). It's half a block away from the R and a block away from 5th Ave. 4 supermarkets, 2 laundromats, cafes, bars and all the great amenities of 5th Ave. are nearby.
My room is 14.5x8 ft so it has plenty of space for a full size bed, nightstand, dresser and bookshelf. It has french doors, ceiling fan and 2 large windows that look into a backyard garden so you get peace and quiet and a lot of light. It has a full closet and built in storage unit. I may leave my furniture behind so the room comes furnished if you want.
The roommate is a woman in her early 40s and in interior design/architecture (nice benefit: the place is charmingly decorated). We are looking for a female who is mature, responsible, easygoing and clean. Nonsmokers and no pets preferred.
$1200 per month for the room, not including utilities (about $30 per month). To move in, a security deposit of 1 month's rent is needed + credit check by the landlord. The room is ready for move in by Dec. 1 but Dec. 15 or Jan. 1 is okay too. If this tweaks your interest, let me know. Thanks!
